Phonics Stars promotes 'Learning through Play'

Our FACE 2 FACE and ZOOM sessions are fun, educational and interactive, providing children with the foundations for learning, supporting school 'readiness' and much more!

Our sessions are themed around a sound of the week, and focus on letter / phoneme recognition, pronunciation and formation as well as developing muscle and motor strength, fine motor skills, pencil grip, hand eye coordination, speaking, listening and communication and lots more, including number work and creative activities.

The range of activities provided offers children of all abilities aged 2-5, a variety of learning opportunities which link to the Early Years Foundation Stage, with ideas for extension and support activities.
Families will receive support and advice from Sam Baldwin, the Founder of Phonics Stars who is an experienced Early Years practitioner, the owner and licensed class leader of Phonics Stars Bromley and UK, who leads all sessions in the BR area.

All children will receive a special kit bag back pack when they join, this will contain a number of items for them to bring to every session. A phonics stars t-shirt, their own pot of putty, colourful dancing scarves, pens, a chalk board and chalk plus some extras. We recommend children wear their t-shirts to protect their clothing and to feel like part of the Phonics Stars groovy gang!

You will find signage and posters in position, a sanitisation station and a one way system to enter and exit the building.

Please note that due to COVID-19, our sessions are subject to families remaining socially distanced. Masks will be expected to be worn by adults who can wear them upon entry and exit from the venue, and in all communal areas. Once at your designated "mat" area, masks can be removed as participants will be a minimum of 2m away from all others.

YOU WILL BE ASKED TO AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN YOUR BOOKING QUESTIONS. NON ATTENDANCE IS NOT REFUNDED. IF CHANGES ARE ENFORCED DUE TO COVID, ONLINE ZOOM SESSIONS WILL BE OFFERED IN PLACE OF THE CLASS, ALONG WITH A BANK OF ONLINE ACTIVITIES.

You will find The Assembly Halls opposite Wickham Common, close to Croydon Road. Free car parking is available which holds around ten cards. If this is full you will find plenty of places to park on the road. Please be mindful of residents and do not park over their drives.
